2009-2010 Tournament Format
3 Open Tournaments
1 Draw Tournament
We will start with 3 Open style team tournaments. The first one being a 2 day tournament, which means you will fish for a 5 fish limit one day and a 5 fish limit the next day and combine the 2 days for a total weight. This tournament will be our Oregon BASS Open. The next two tournaments will be single day tournaments. You will be able to fish with who ever you want in each of the 3 events. If you are not a Oregon BASS Federation Nation member, you would be required to pay a one time fee of $30 to cover the state and federal dues. Points will be awarded as a team for each individual tournament, but will carry tournament to tournament for each individual person. These tournaments will qualify each person(maximum of 48) for a 2 day draw tournament at Green Peter Res. On August 22 & 23, 2009. We will then fish the 2 day draw, and will draw different partners each day. The combination of weight of the 2 days will be the winner. At the end of the 4 tournaments you will be able to throw out 1 of the Open events for your total number of points. You must fish the Draw Tournament make the State Team. At the end of the season there would be a grand total of 600 points maximum to accumulate after the throw out.
You must decide before the first tournament you fish weather or not you are fishing for the State Team Points. At the end of the of the 2 day draw tournament, State Team positions will be set by the number of points each person has accumulated over the 4 tournaments minus the 1 throw out.
The person with the highest amount of accumulated points will be in the first boater spot with rest of the spots to follow in descending order. The first 12 Spots plus the alternate position of the State Team will be filled with this format.
Entry fee for the 3 Open Tournaments will be $200 per boat per event. There will be a $25 big fish option also on top of the $200 entry fee. Pay back at each of the Open Tournaments will be 80% of the entry fee at a rate of 1 out of 5 entrees. Big fish option will be paid back 100% for the top 3 big fish per event. You may only weigh in one big fish per boat. The final 2 day draw tournament will be $100 per person. With all of those entrees going to the State Team Fund. There will be a $10 per person, Big Fish option paid out 100% for the top 3 big fish. You may only weigh in one big fish per day.
In hopes of reducing traveling expenses we are also going to allow a pre fish day on the Friday before the tournaments. Waters will be off limits Monday - Thursday prior to the tournaments and after 4pm on Friday. This means you must be off the water by 4pm Friday afternoon the day before the tournament and no later. This is FIRM and violators will be disqualified with no refunds.
